Culture

SIT is spearheading the preservation of African culture and arts through the collection, storage and maintenance of local arts. Items been preserved includes crafts, technologies, music and dance that dates back to the 17th century. This effort will preserve cultural heritage, promote cultural diversity and educate the coming generation on their culture and historical progress.

Also, the art center serves as a venue to promote local artists and encourage them to exhibits their work locally and internationally. By working with both established and emerging artist we will bridge the artist gap. The center encourages mentor-mentee relationships for young artists in the center.
