Youth Empowerment

20180131_141324 copyAfrica is a young continent with high population of teenagers and young adults. Ghana is not immune from the global trend in unemployment especially among college graduates. To be a part of the solution in empowering the youth, I co-founded Sena Institute of Technology (SIT).

Through the institute, we have employed 10 staff who are doing excellent jobs. Your support will enable us create more jobs and build new solutions. It will encourage the youth to take up science at an early age, develop their artistic potential and be creators of next generation solution.

Developing Sustainable Devices

In consultation with 3D design professionals in Boston we have initiated this program to train and engage young students pursue the 3D and robotics field. The center will use the development of prosthetic legs as a model to train students and staff. Through this effort we will be able to improve mobility of individuals who are physically challenged and enhance their ability to live more rewarding and productive lives.

Your support will create an enabling environment for staff, students and professionals to work together to create engineering solutions (such as the figure on the right) to improve physical function and well-being.

Conservation and Food Security

Through our efforts, we are building a database of local crops and vegetables to conserve and promote their adoption in local and international cuisines. Also, we are training farmers on sustainable agricultural practices and efforts to increase crop yield to ensure food security within the region.
